Marcus Miller - "bootleg tapes"

this guy is probably the second best jazz basist, right afte Mingus. Has a great song called "Silver Rain" with Clapton too.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Rufus Wainwright - Poses

And I cannot recommend this album enough, esp. "Greek Song" and "One Man Guy".  Sublime.

Have you listened to "Want One"?  I really enjoyed that one.

I'll probably definitely pick up Poses.

Also, he sounds like a total twat in concert.  My friend saw him and said he palyed one song in French, one in Latin, and started the third song over when he was halfway through.  Then they left.

Operation Ivy's "Energy" has been in my CD player a lot, and I keep listening to a mix I made for the Gin Blossoms songs I have on it.

Decemberists - The Tain
I picked up on these guys listening to LastFM, and the more I heard the more I liked. This CD is really just one long piece of music. Hmmm....
And then it occoured to me..these guys, A Silver Mt. Zion, Tiamat, In Gowan Ring, etc...it's almost like prog rock is coming back.

The Decemberists are Prog?  I hate the people that say "oh, soandso is not this, it's emocore" and stuff like that, but I really really don't think you can call the Decemberists Prog Rock.

They're going to be in Detroit this May.  I'm pretty sure I'm going (for $12, how can I not)
