And all of them are only talking about physical pain.  I'm willing to concede that it might be more painful than getting shot.  I'll still take it over getting shot.  I'd rather have 5 or 30 seconds of intense pain then risk being fatally wounded.

Ask ten people who have been both shot and tasered which they'd prefer. Eight say they'd rather be tasered. The other two are dead.

Baton training typically uses some of the takedowns on you, and almost always has someone in a padded suit get the shit kicked out of them to show the brusies you can get even in a suit.

Again, I'm all for tasers for law enforcement. But giving these things to anyone who can sit through a safety lecture is insane.
