Ip Man

Chinese Kung-Fu movie (english subtitles) based on the life of "Ip Man", the Wing Chung master that trained Bruce Lee.

The movie loosely follows his life. There's the traditional "my kung-fu style is better than your kung-fu style" rivalry that you get in most kung-fu movies, but this one takes a twist when the Japanese invade (right before WWII).

There's a sequel that follows the later part of his life when he opens up a school in Hong Kong (where Bruce Lee ultimately trained with him). Both are on Netflix.

Good movie, the kung-fu fight scenes were top-notch. 8/10.

I watched the first one a long time ago, it was really entertaining.  I didn't realize it was based on a real guy.
