Yeah - I know this is the wrong thread - I'll move it later.  Maybe.

Anyone know where I can get a legal copy of Windows XP, for like, cheap?

A lot of universities have deals with MS where their students can get most of their software for free.  I'd check with any students you know.  Failing that, ebay?

I second eBay... but make sure its legit and not someone just re-selling something thats already been registered with MS.

A lot of people sell OEM operating systems, the disks that normally come with a computer... the catch is, that in order for them to sell it cheap they have to bundle it with some other computer component, so you may have to buy some random junk-sound board or busted HDD along with the disk.
