almost all of the major stations in the chicago market are broadcasting in hd - a friend of mine has an hd receiver; the sound is more clear and he gets signal in places whee I don't or get heavy static.

There's several stations out here in Cleveland that are running HD, but I don't have a reciever.  I hear it's pretty good though.
