Title: Hardcore History
Post by: Jake on February 03, 2018, 11:23:02 PM
The podcast hardcore history has taken over my free time (as well as during chore time). It is just wonderful and if you like history, you should like this! He has a special way of story telling that not only draws you in but is thoughtful and mostly unbiased. I am currently listening to the "Blue Print for Armageddon" - it is a several part series and each part is north of 3 hours. So be ready for that. And I can only do mindless chores while listening to it (like dishes, or folding laundry) because I end up rewinding quite a bit otherwise.

Even if you never liked history in school. You should give this a try.

finished it about a month ago and it was a wild ride. I think I will try to listen to it again in a few months because there was so much information there!

Knuck, have you listened to any of his other ones? recommendations?

Yes.  All of them.  WWI is my personal favorite.  After that they are all pretty amazing.  Listen to his whole set.  They are also on sale if you want to purchase them.

Another amazing one is an Audible book.  The Other Side of History by Robert Garland.  Talks about the life of the average person all the way through history.

Followed by Maya to Aztec: Ancient Mesoamerica Revealed by Edwin Barnhart.

Both are of the Great Courses variety.  If you check them out let me know what you think.

I have listened to both multiple times.
