That's not too bad.  I'd be pretty happy with a time around a half hour, but all I'm really looking for is to finish without walking.  I've really only been running consistently for like a week, so I just want to finish it at this point.

The going for me is so slow.  Can't tell if it is because I am lazy, a pussy, or old.  Meh, or all three.  Sad huh?  Unfortunately being down on myself about it probably compounds the issue.

Today the wind off the lake was so strong that I didn't even feel like I was moving.  You just gotta power through it and finish.  It feels that much better when you do

I can't wait until this stupid 5K is done so I can get back to lifting.  I haven't done anything for over a week now and I'm not doing anything until after the 5K and it sucks.  I've been running everyday and getting slightly better at it, although the weather has gotten colder again and it's going to be like 34 degrees on Saturday.  Yesterday I did 2 miles on the elliptical at ~6.8 mph and then did another mile after I farted around in the gym.  Weighed in at 194 today.  woo

Remember how I said that RDAs are dumb?  After breakfast, I've already blown through my RDAs for protein and cholesterol.  I had 1 egg, 6oz of chicken breast, 1/4c egg whites, 1/4c cheese, and a low-carb tortilla.  That's enough for 127% of protein and 119% of cholesterol

Also, my wedding ring is fitting really loose now.  Should I buy a new, smaller one or what

That kind of defeats the purpose I would think. I'd get resized if you want it to fit right. I'd take it off and put it in a safe place until you can do that.

I have 2 already - the one we bought for the ceremony turned out to be too big.  It was pretty inexpensive so it wouldn't be a big deal to buy another one

My ring is tungsten carbide and they can't be resized

We are talking about getting a different metal if I get a new one though.  This is cheap and is already pretty scratched up after only 2 1/2 years

The 5K is tomorrow and I just ran 2 miles without stopping for the first time in like 6-7 years.  It was tough but I made it, I hope I can tomorrow.

The high tomorrow is like 30 and the race is at 10am, so I'm expecting it to be in the low 20s at the start, with a pretty brutal wind off the lake.

Unfortunately I did walk a little bit, but not much.  I'm not sure of my time, but I think it was in the 35 minute range.  Hopefully I'll find out later today.  The two guys I was with were about 26 minutes or so - I was with them for the first half and fell off hard at the end.

It was 20 degrees on the way to the race, but we hung out in a warm restaurant until 10 minutes before the start.  The cold was annoying but not bad after the first few minutes.  Thankfully there was almost no wind
