I can't imagine shooting a woodland creature and then cleaning/gutting/eating its carcass. ick.

i saw your pics last year. i felt sad for the cute little baby deers. aren't you only supposed to kill the big ones with lots of points on their antlers?
That really depends on where you are. Here in MO the antlers have to be under two inches, or big enough that there are at least four points on one side.
The deer I took last year was no small deer. He had 4 inch "spike" antlers (MI does not have the same rule) but from 75 yards out and 30 feet up in the tree I honestly thought he was a she. And the thing was over 180 pounds.
