CD ripper and mp3 converter
« on: June 07, 2005, 01:55:24 PM »
hey guys I'm looking for a good program that would rip from a CD and convert the tracks into mp3's.

I have a shit load of CDs and would like to make my spare computer for mp3's only, and permanently hooked up to my receiver...sort-of a dedicated jukebox.

Not necessarily free... but I've used Musicmatch Jukebox for about 7 years now.  It's been great (although I wouldn't get their latest POS).  PM me ;)

I just use KAudioCreator because it's there on all my machines (except XP) and it works. It defaults to Ogg, but you can do mp3's with it.
Now that I think about it, I've never ripped anything while using windows...
I'm actually doing something just like that using Slackware.
Leave the gun. Take the canolis.

I use MusicMatch's free version - it works perfectly well.
