WoW is really just a kiddie version of MMO.  I'm playing Champions Online (Headstart started today for preorders) and Aion comes out late September.

I think everyone is buying their time til the Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic and Star Trek mmorpg's come out.  Oh, and Starcraft 2.

You can try Pirates of the Burning Sea.  Or also try Vanguard, I'm thinking about giving that one a shot again, when it was first released it was buggy as hell but recent reviews say that it has gotten MUCH better.

Surprised you haven't gotten Aly addicted to the Sims.

I agree.  TOR seems like it has a chance to really be good.

Anyone in here planning on checking into it?  I am still on the fence.

aion looks cool.  Vanguard has a free 14 day trial on the website, might give that a shot.  Star trek seems to be more like guild wars, and instance based.

IMO vanguard was an epic failure but they might have improved that.

I"ve never played any mmorpg but that star trek one looks pretty cool... i might be tempted next spring to give it a try.
