Coolest Chrome Feature ever
« on: April 26, 2012, 04:12:40 AM »
So when I installed Fedora I got the latest Chrome, I had not bothered updating it before. So now my gmail account is linked to it. I clicked on an "email us" link on a webstie and it took me right into my gmail compose screen.

It's the little things in life.

Actually it wasn't Outlook but the OS that fired off outlook.  You could actually tell windows to fire off chrome when clicking mailto links.  Thankfully Chrome is now smart enough to handle it without asking the OS what to do.

I wonder if Linux had a setting like that before. In any event, Chrome is brilliant for this.

We'll have to agree to disagree.  I have yet to meet another mail/calendar/meeting organizer app that manages those processes as seamlessly as Outlook does.  And Outlook itself is not insecure.  It doesn't open attachments and run them for you.

agreed. By far outlook is the one piece of software that if taken away would totally change how I do my day-to-day tasks. Outlook is brilliant. I love it.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

did you know people still use Lotus Notes?  Just thought I'd share.
