how long can you go without eating?

I decided last week to loose my tiny bit of beer gut to make it easier to tone up. I ate wed night and went until this morning without eating and it worked pretty well. Now I just have to portion right and keep on the exercise to finish the process.

It wasn't that bad. At around 24 hours the stomach pains go away and then its just a matter of not thinking about it.

Just wondering how long have some of you guys gone before? I was suprised it was so easy

You can actually gain weight if you stop eating. When your body enters the early stages of starvation, it starts storing fat like crazy. Not eating is a bad way to try and lose weight.

I don't think i've ever gone more than.. say, 12 hours without food.. never had to thank god.

I dunno I lost the weight. I'm expecting the body tp "panic" when it gets food and store it back on that's why I'm portioning it

I've never tried.  I'm sure I've gone a full 24 hours on more then one occasion.  I personally have trouble telling when I'm hungry or when I'm full.  Which generally means I don't eat all day and then when I get home I eat way more then I should.

that not to say I don't "get hungry" or ever feel bloated from eating way to much... but day in and day out I can't really tell.

If I got a day without eating, I'm sure my stomach would let me know.

I think the longest I've gone was two days.  I was fasting though.

Sorry... I meant the only time I've gone a long time without eating is because I was fasting.  And it was a 24 hour period that I wasn't allowed to eat.
