OMG what a great movie.

Emmy Rossum has a great face and a kick ass voice.  I love the special effects.  I think this will definatly be one I buy.

i watched it opening night.

and me and my friends were warned or several occasions that if we continued singing along, we would be escorted out.  fuckers.

that's when we started lip synching.

I thought the first half of the movie was just too rushed.  I didn't really have time to get comfortable with the characters.  Then again, I'm terrible with faces, so it usually takes me a while to be able to tell characters apart anyway.

I hear that Phantom is playing in Atlanta some time in October, so I'm hoping to see it on stage.

IIRC (its been about 10 years) the movie was about the same pace as the opera.
