anyone else get these weird popups that aren't blocked by firefox's popup blocker from time to time?

Some of them are getting by Opera too... they're called "pop-unders"... and I'm not quite sure how it works or how to stop it.  Still, Opera catches 98% of them.

I get them sometimes too, but as ober said Opera and Firefox catch most the pop-ups.  I love Opera's feature where it displays that it blocked a pop-up and if you want to open it you just have to click on the display box.

I'm not really sure... but they're made to open in the background, and apparently most of the current pop-up blockers are built to kill windows that try to take the focus away from the current page.

I've been noticing them more frequently lately also, little windows that pop up in the background even while using firefox....

I've also noticed these annoying stealth pop-ups.

A terrible thing, they truely are.
this apparatus must be unearthed.

I usually have javascript disabled - I only enable it if I absolutely have to in order to do/view stuff on a webpage. I thought it was a principle of good web design to respect a user's browser settings and provide content that displayed regardless of what 'features' they chose to enable - otherwise what's the point of
