great beer
« on: February 20, 2009, 11:21:32 PM »
every couple of weeks I go to this local liquor store that stocks about 500 different beer brands from all over the world and pick up a few to try out. Every once in a while I pick out a really great one, and today was one of the best I have ever drank: Julius Echter - it is a german hefe weiss premium beer - and boy is it good. If any of you like beer, and are lucky enough to have a good liquor store around you go pick some up...it is a party for the beer taste buds :D

wow, another great one in the bunch: Hacker-Pschorr Anno 1417 - also a german and also way above average. I have two more to try in this bunch - hopefully they will be as good as these two have been.

Might have to try some of those after Easter - I'm doing no alcohol for lent.  I've discovered that Coopers Birell non-alcoholic beer is actually damn nice and cheper than a can of Coca-Cola.  Means I can have a beer on a Friday and not feel guilty about it.

Troegs Double Bock (Troeglinator) rocks!  Best bottled beer I have ever had bar none.
