Nintendo WiFi Gripes.
« on: December 06, 2005, 11:44:58 AM »

So, I bought Mario Kart DS a few weeks ago. The game
bloody rules. However, the online feature, while very fun,
is severely lacking. See, I'm the type person that likes to talk
smack after a pwnage. It's just the way I am. But, in Mario
Kart, there's absolutely no way to talk to the people you're
playing with. No way to make friends whatsoever. Totally blows
because online gaming is my primary means of socializing, and
I've been feeling lonely lately.

Hey, would Voice over DS even be possible? I mean, with
things like TeamSpeak and Ventrillo, do those rely on
powerful processor/memory stuff, or just a fast connection?

Animal Crossing just came out, and I'm definitely going to
buy it. But, there's also a problem with the online portion
of the game: You can't visit other peoples' towns unless you
have their Friend Code. That angers me.

I understand why Nintendo did this -- to protect the little
kids. You very well can't allow the pedophiles to visit
the villages of little school children...

Ooh, unless Nintendo incorporated some sort of Animal Crossing
sex offender registry. That would actually kind of rule.

...But what about me? I'd like to meet people, damnit!
I'd like to arrange dates and try to start a relationship. But
because of Nintendo, I'm going to die alone. You know
what, NintenDON'T! Yeah. I said it.

Anywho, you're all welcome to my town once I get the
game. I'll post my friend code here. God, I hope friend codes
transfer from game to game. I'd hate to have a unique friend
code for every different WiFi DS game.
I watch you...
